Why Stardrift Labs

Designed Around How You Actually Learn

We built our programmes for people with day jobs, existing commitments, and real curiosity about what language models can do.

Fits a Working Schedule

Recorded lectures and self-paced practice fit around employment hours. Live sessions are scheduled in advance and can be reviewed later.

Mentor-Supported Projects

Every programme closes with a project of your design, reviewed by a named mentor. You own the work; they help you make it clearer.

Practical from Week One

Each week pairs a lecture with a practice notebook. The concepts you read about on Monday, you work through on Wednesday.

Small Cohort Format

Cohort sizes are kept small enough that discussion sessions remain substantive. Questions get real answers, not redirection to documentation.

Clear Study Materials

Curriculum pages include weekly outlines, suggested reading, and small practice samples. No ambiguity about what is expected each week.

Plain Data Practices

Our privacy notice explains data practices in plain language. We collect what we need to run the programme and nothing beyond that.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are these programmes designed for?

The entry-level course suits learners with basic Python familiarity who want to understand how to work with publicly available language models. The practitioner track is for people who have prior exposure to model training or equivalent self-directed study. The year programme is built for working professionals who want a sustained, structured year of study with mentor support throughout.

How much time should I set aside each week?

For the nine-week course, four to six hours per week is a reasonable estimate — one recorded lecture, one live session, and time to work through the practice notebook. The practitioner track and year programme require a similar weekly commitment, with additional time during milestone weeks. Live sessions are recorded for participants who cannot attend at the scheduled time.

What do I need to set up before the course starts?

For the entry-level course, a working Python environment and access to a publicly available language model API is sufficient. Setup instructions are provided before the first session. The practitioner track builds on this; participants are expected to have their environment working before week one. Detailed setup guides are distributed after enrolment.

What is the course completion record?

Participants who submit all practice notebooks and the final project receive a course completion record from Stardrift Labs. It documents the programme name, duration, and that the participant completed the required work. It is an educational record, not an accredited qualification.

How are payments handled?

Programme fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit. Payment details are provided after your enrolment enquiry is confirmed. We accept standard bank transfer. For the year programme, a payment schedule can be discussed at the time of enrolment.

Can I join mid-cohort or is there a fixed start date?

Cohorts start on fixed dates. Mid-cohort entry is not available, as the programme structure relies on the group progressing through the material together. Upcoming cohort start dates are shared with prospective participants after their initial enquiry.

How is my personal data handled?

We collect the information needed to operate the programme — name, email, and progress records. We do not share participant data with third parties for marketing purposes. Full details are in our Privacy Policy, which is written in plain language and available on this site.
