3. Programme Description
Stardrift Labs offers online educational programmes in language model practice and generative AI engineering. Programmes are delivered primarily online and are available to participants in Malaysia and internationally, subject to local regulations.
All three programmes — Working with Language Models (9 weeks), Generative AI Practitioner Track (12 weeks), and AI Engineering Year Programme (12 months) — are general educational offerings. They are not vocational qualifications regulated by any Malaysian statutory body, and enrolment does not confer any professional licence or regulated credential.
Programme availability, schedules, and content may be updated by Stardrift Labs at any time. Material changes to enrolled cohorts will be communicated to participants before they take effect.
4. Enrolment & Accounts
4.1 Enrolment
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of the required programme fee. Stardrift Labs reserves the right to decline enrolment at its discretion.
4.2 Account Security
Access credentials issued for programme materials are personal to the enrolled participant. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4.3 Account Termination
Stardrift Labs may suspend or terminate account access if a participant breaches these Terms or acts in a manner that disrupts the programme environment for other participants.
5. User Responsibilities
5.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Website and programme materials only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms.
5.2 Prohibited Activities
You must not:
- Share, resell, or distribute programme materials without written permission from Stardrift Labs.
- Reproduce or publish recorded lectures, notebooks, or written materials in whole or in part.
- Attempt to access programme materials or systems beyond your enrolled entitlement.
- Engage in conduct that harasses, intimidates, or disrupts other participants or staff during live sessions.
- Submit work as your own that was produced by another person without attribution.
- Use programme materials to develop competing commercial offerings without written agreement.
5.3 Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to engage with cohort sessions and mentors in a respectful and constructive manner. Stardrift Labs reserves the right to remove a participant from live sessions if conduct is disruptive.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Company Materials
All programme content — including recorded lectures, written materials, notebook templates, and website content — is the intellectual property of Stardrift Labs or its licensors. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
6.2 Participant Licence
Upon enrolment, Stardrift Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access programme materials for your personal educational use during the programme period.
6.3 Participant Work
Projects, notebooks, and written work submitted by participants remain the intellectual property of the participant. Stardrift Labs does not claim ownership of work you produce during a programme. You grant Stardrift Labs a limited licence to review your submitted work for the purposes of mentoring, assessment, and issuing a Completion Record.
7. Payment Terms
7.1 Fees
Programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Current fees are: Working with Language Models — RM 540; Generative AI Practitioner Track — RM 1,460; AI Engineering Year Programme — RM 2,840. Fees are confirmed at the time of enrolment inquiry.
7.2 Payment Methods
Payment methods are communicated during the enrolment process. Full payment is required prior to confirmation of a place in a programme cohort unless a written instalment arrangement has been agreed.
7.3 Refund Policy
A full refund is available if a withdrawal request is made in writing at least 7 calendar days before the programme start date. Requests received less than 7 days before the start date, or after the programme has commenced, are not eligible for a refund unless the cancellation is due to a material change initiated by Stardrift Labs.
If Stardrift Labs cancels a cohort before it begins, enrolled participants will receive a full refund or be offered a place in the next available cohort.
8. Programme-Specific Terms
8.1 Completion Records
A Completion Record is issued to participants who submit all required practice notebooks and the final project by the stated deadlines. The Completion Record confirms participation and submission; it is not a degree, diploma, professional certification, or regulated qualification of any kind.
8.2 Academic Integrity
All submitted work must be your own. You may use publicly available tools and models in your work but must clearly indicate their use. Submitting work that misrepresents its authorship will result in withdrawal of any Completion Record and may result in removal from the programme without refund.
8.3 Prerequisites
Each programme states the appropriate prior experience. Stardrift Labs does not warrant that a programme will meet your particular objectives if you enroll without the stated prerequisite knowledge.
9. Disclaimers
The Website and all programme materials are provided on an "as is" basis. Stardrift Labs makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose of any content.
Stardrift Labs does not warrant that participation in a programme will result in employment, career advancement, specific technical outcomes, or any other particular result. Learning outcomes depend on individual effort, prior knowledge, and circumstances outside our control.
Programme materials reference publicly available language models and tools. Stardrift Labs is not responsible for changes to third-party tools, APIs, or model availability that may affect programme exercises.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Stardrift Labs's total liability to you under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the programme fee paid by you in respect of the specific programme giving rise to the claim.
Stardrift Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of earnings, loss of data, or loss of opportunity, whether foreseeable or not, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or any programme.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stardrift Labs, its directors, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of programme materials, or any act or omission by you that causes harm to another participant or third party.
12. Termination
12.1 By Stardrift Labs
Stardrift Labs may suspend or terminate your access to a programme if you breach these Terms. In cases of serious breach, no refund will be issued. For other terminations initiated by Stardrift Labs, a pro-rata refund of unused programme time may be offered at our discretion.
12.2 By You
You may withdraw from a programme at any time by notifying us in writing. Refund eligibility is governed by Section 7.3.
12.3 Survival
Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination of these Terms.
13. Dispute Resolution
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia for the resolution of any dispute arising under these Terms.
13.2 Informal Resolution
Before commencing any formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally. You may contact us at [email protected] to raise a concern. We will respond within 10 business days.
13.3 Consumer Rights

- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver. Failure by Stardrift Labs to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of its right to do so in the future.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written consent from Stardrift Labs. We may assign our rights in connection with a business transfer or restructuring.
- Notices. Notices under these Terms may be sent by email. Notices to Stardrift Labs should be directed to [email protected].
15. Changes to These Terms
Stardrift Labs may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For enrolled participants, material changes will also be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
Continued use of the Website or participation in a Programme after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
